Hi, I’m Meg.

I help students acquire target languages with maximum confidence, and I help teachers achieve optimal efficacy in the classroom through language instruction coaching. I started JAM Materials to represent my freelance company where I offer language classes, bilingual acquisition coaching, and handmade materials that have helped my students and clients advance.

I constantly strive to expose myself to unique educational experiences, particularly the study of foreign language and culture. I have studied Spanish, French, Mandarin and Cantonese. As a Fulbright Teaching Assistant in Madrid, I perfected my fluency in Spanish, and came to work for the U.S-Spain Fulbright Commission as a Program Associate for Fulbright Teaching Assistants in Madrid and the Canary Islands. My personal experience mastering foreign languages greatly inform my pedagogical approach. I have over 15 years of teaching experience that spans across multiple countries, including: The U.S., France, Hong Kong, and Spain. My teaching philosophy is holistic, individualized and informed by my master’s degree in International Education and Bilingualism.

As an educational consultant and instructor, my lessons are fueled by personalized resources. Hand-crafted materials draw students in and engage them more than blocky or AI-generated images do. To achieve a rigorous education in an increasingly frictionless world is a challenge. I believe we can address these issues by producing innovative resources that fuse the old with the new into an educational tradition that meets the demands of the modern era, and the needs of the modern learner.
